Clear explanations. Clear choices.
Clinical trials are about people — not just science.
Transparent, clear and simple explanations help patients make informed choices.
If you are a patient interested in clinical trials, you are in the right place. Our goal is to help you make an informed decision:
What clinical trials are?
How they work?
What to expect as a participant?
Your rights and safety?
How to decide if it’s right for you?
What Are Clinical Trials?
Clinical trials are research studies that help doctors and scientists learn how to prevent, detect, or treat diseases. While they can sound complicated, the process is designed to protect patients and gather reliable information to improve healthcare.
This page will walk you through the basics in clear, everyday language, so you can understand what clinical trials are and how they work.
Patient Safety and Rights
Your safety is always the top priority. In every clinical trial:
Studies are reviewed by independent ethics committees
Risks and benefits are carefully evaluated
Patients can ask questions at any time
Participation is voluntary, and you can leave anytime
Before joining, you will review an Informed Consent Form, which explains the study, possible risks, and your rights in plain language.
Support for Caregivers
Supporting someone in a clinical trial can feel overwhelming, but you don’t have to navigate it alone. This section provides practical guidance and resources to help you support your loved one while also taking care of yourself.
About Me
My name is Hanh Nguyen.
I am a clinical research professional with decades of experiences working with patients, pharmaceutical companies and regulatory authorities. Over the years, I have been involved in clinical research across hospitals, research organizations, and the industry including work with Roche, Polpharma, Medpace, and Providence Saint John’s Cancer Center.
Throughout my career, I have seen how important it is for patients to truly understand clinical trials before deciding to participate. I created this website to share clear, reliable information that helps patients feel more informed and confident when considering a clinical trial.
My goal is simple: to make clinical trials easier to understand and more transparent for the people who matter most — the patients.
